Book Cover Design
Jim Erb, a pastor in the Youngstown area, needed a cover for his book "Formed in the Furnace." To tie into the industrial history of the region, I used a black-and-white photo of turn-of-the-century steel workers, adding an orange-and-black duotone to enhance the concepts of heat and fire. The title, subtitle, and author's name were typeset in a white serif font against a black background with "Furnace" in orange.
